Clifford “Earl” Tharp, 94, of Marion, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2021. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 9, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Colby Robbins will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Earl was born June 27th, 1927, in Waubeek, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Bessie Tharp. He was in the Coast Guard from 1945-1946 in World War II. He also worked at Collins Radio from 1948-1984 where he retired. Earl was united in marriage to Donna Mae Van Natta for 74 years.
Earl is survived by his wife Donna, his daughters, Judi Isaacson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Patty Serovy (Craig Serovy) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
