A wonderful, joyful man to be around. I will greatly miss Bob's presence at museum functions. All my good thoughts to Tara and the family.

Bob was a Great guy. I was a kid that lived down the street and around the corner.I remember when He got his new Corvette. 1969 ,saw him still driving it about 2 years ago. One year he cook Hot Dogs for Halloween. R.I.P. BOB BEST WISHES TO ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Tara and family, Our heartfelt sympathies. We will always recall joyful, interesting, educational, and enlightening conversations with Bob over the years. May his memory be a constant blessing to you all.

During my 47 years in Rotary, I know of no one more dedicated to the Downtown Rotary Club or to the mission of Rotary International than Bob Moorman. He provided leadership and served as an example of what a Rotarian thinks and does to meet the avenues of service in a Rotary Club. I had many interesting conversations with Bob, and his ready response to any situation was simple. How can I help? I share with Tara and his family in celebrating his life and legacy. We are all better because he was here. As we go forward, we can think of all Bob did to make Cedar Rapids a better place. It was an honor to know him. William C. Jacobson - Fellow Rotarian.

Truly a wonderful, thoughtful, generous gentleman. My sincere pleasure to say have known. Flip Klinger

Sincere condolences from the Rook family in Minnesota. What a wonderful example of a well-lived life.

I was saddened to learn of Bob's death. He was a good friend of our community and its people. Thoughts go to Tara and all Bob's relatives. Rich Patterson

My deepest condolences to the family of Robert Moorman. I have many fond memories of him from my high school days when he gave me a summer job at his trucking company (as he tolerated me dating his middle daughter). One evening he invited me to drive his '69 gold Corvette Stingray down Mt. Vernon Road. I was taken by surprise when he implored me to "stand on it !" It took me a moment to understand he was giving me permission to "floor it". I did and I'll never forget the experience. He was a kind, thoughtful and generous man and I'll never forget our brief but exhilarating experience in the summer of '74. Rest in peace Mr. Moorman.

Tara, We are so sorry to learn Bob has passed away. He was always such a happy, positive, energetic and curious man. He was so delightful to be around. Marty remembers how kind you and Bob were when Karma was suffering from cancer. He really appreciated your visits and encouragement. We hope your faith, family and friends will sustain you at this time. Love, Juli and Marty

I first met Bob at Tara's Mother's Celebration of Life. It was like meeting an Old Friend, We had a lot to talk about & a lot of the same interest's as I had been Close Friends of Tara's Mother & Dad since 1950. How time fly's. R I P Bob! You have earned it! Dale Russell, Neodesha, Ks.

This might be the best obituary I've ever read - and absolutely fits dear Bob. Tara, I love you. Holding your heart until I can hold your hand. Bob was just a great guy and I can't think of him without a smile on his face. I was always glad to see him - and he always seemed glad to see me, too. :) Much love to the entire family. A life very well lived indeed.

Wow, I just was checking out the CM site tonight and saw this. SO sorry to hear about Bob. Annie L. Scholl was right, this is the best obit I've ever read. He would be so proud. Had no idea that Bob and I were frat brothers too! I go back a long way with the Moorman family. Shortly after Mic's mom died I remember my family taking her to the Mississippi for a river weekend trip. Mic and family, you are in my thoughts and he was a great guy, but never knew he was so much younger than my parents till now! What a life he led. Condolences to all of you....
