Linda M. Morris, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday March 4, 2021, at the Villas in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Private Memorial Services will be held Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by William Kirkpatrick.  A visitation will be held on Monday March 8, 2021 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m.   “Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people allowed. The use of facemasks or shields is required. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. 

Linda was born on September 7, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John Milton Morris and Gladys (Belka) Kirkpatrick. She graduated from Washington High School in 1972. She attended and worked for Options of Linn County for 48 years, retiring in 2019 due to health.

She enjoyed country western music, assembling puzzles, watching TV favorites like Porter Wagner, Daniel O’Donnell, Dallas, Dancing with the Stars and listening to Leo Greco on Sunday.  She was the official under cover neighborhood watch reporter who would report suspicious activities. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Options of Linn County and Linda’s faithful neighbors, especially Ted and Diane Messer who unselfishly gave themselves daily to her and her mother. For nearly 20 years. We also thank her many caregivers including Tami Kiecksie of Linn Haven and her lifelong case worker, now retired, Amy Koffron.

Survivors include her stepbrothers, William (Marjory) Kirkpatrick of Cedar Rapids, and David (Kathy) Kirkpatrick of Milwaukee, her stepsisters, Ellen (Steven) Amsden of Independence.  Her trusted Cabbage Patch companion Jeffery for 35 years, and friends, Nancy Esseg and Ryan Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Charles Kirkpatrick, stepbrother, Charles Kirkpatrick and Stepsister, Dorothy Kelley.
