Memorial

Mary Rose, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  A visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 3:00- 6:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Stateroom.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial website under Mary’s obituary, under the video tab starting on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:00 PM.  Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Cross. 

She was born on November 12, 1928, to Loren and Mildred (Mittan) Carver in Bertram, Iowa. Mary graduated from Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, spending time with family and friends, and the Eastern Stars.  She was a proud member of the organization for 70 years. 

Mary is survived by her children John Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jerry (Terry) Buresh of St. Charles, Missouri, Diana Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dorothea Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joseph Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Denese Gordon of Nashville, Tennessee; sister Doris Wagner of Barnhart, Missouri; brother Richard Carver of Vinton, Iowa; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son James Buresh, brothers Russell and Ralph Carver, and sister-in-law Judy Carver.
