June Marie Walton, Age 84, passed away at the Living Center West Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids on October 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Resthaven on Saturday, October 31, 2020 with the Certified Celebrant Dr. James Coyle officiating.
June was born on June 20, 1936 in Waterloo, IA. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith (Jones) Roeding. On August 6, 1959, June married the love of her life George Walton in Preston, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1992. June was a very hard worker. She worked with her son, Robert, detailing cars for over 30 years at the Walton Auto Shop.
Those left to cherish June’s memory are her children, Robert (Karen) Walton of Cedar Rapids, and Marie Walzer of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Troy, Alisha, George, Casondra, Nina, and Landon; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jayne Engel of Phoenix, AZ, Virginia Thill, of Waterloo, IA, and Barbara O’Brien of Elma, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, her daughter, Betty Johnson, and her siblings, Irene, Helen, Edward, Ruth, Dorothy, Harold, Bill, Carol, and Jack.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to the entire staff at the St. Luke’s Hospice, especially Kennedy and Chevonne, June’s nurse at Living Center West Nursing Home for all of the love and care they showed June.
