JP, Clayton, Brandon: We've been thinking of you and hope the memory of Phyllis brings comfort. We will miss her at all the neighborhood get-togethers, but more importantly, she will be missed because of all the good she has done in our community and as a wife and mother to all of you.

Mr. Besong, Clayton and Brandon, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mrs. Cooper Besong was a wonderful parent to her two boys that I was fortunate to have as students at Johnson School. I had both boys for two years apiece and your mother was such a positive and concerned parent who would accompany her sons to school. I will never forget her. If all children had a parent like Phyllis, the world would be a much more beautiful place. Mary Abbey
