Paula and family, we are so saddened to learn of Bill's death. It was a pleasure to know him in so many roles at First Presbyterian - most importantly as a friend. Our sympathy and prayers to you all.

I am truly sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I have so many memories growing up with Bill as our neighbor and his kids as my family when I was small. As an adult Bill always had words of encouragement and advice for me as well as my children as they grew into adults. He remained a friend to my family for several decades and he will certainly be missed. My condolences to Paula, Billy, Rhonda, Matt, and the rest of your families.

Dad, There is nothing we can do or say that will bring you back to us. You never gave up, you fought till the end. We all fought with you and, for you to keep you here just a little longer. Cant begin to imagine what you felt or were feeling through all of this but, we all know what you were going through.
Even though our hearts were breaking in silence when you hurt, the dads in all of us held you and, had faith in you. We still, as always, love you in every possible way. We've shared many memories, both good and bad, NONE of them EVER a reason not to call you Dad.
It hurts like hell now that you're gone but, you're in a better place. Holding on to the memories of the life you lived, the life you gave us and, the lives we gave you, doesn't make missing you any easier. Knowing we will see each other again someday, does.
Dad, this is not good-bye.......good-bye seems so..........permanent. Instead, this is see-ya later.......we all will. Until that day, your memories, our memories, will keep you alive in our hearts and minds........FOREVER!!!!
LOVE AND MISS YOU DAD!!!!!!!!!
XOXOXO

Our sons grew up together on the Jefferson High School Swim Team and with each swim meet, spaghetti dinner and year-end banquet, Bill was there encouraging the team. There remains a constant memory of Bill and Paula's dedication to the swim program found in the Jefferson High School pool area, a stained glass Jay Hawk in flight . . . soaring to higher skies. And as you continue your flight, Bill, may peace be with you. Love, Jean, Leon and Nathan

Please accept our prayers and condolences for the great loss of Bill. We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Bill and Paula for over 30+ years and they have always welcomed our family and became an extension of ours. Years of fellowship and great times as our families grew, expanded and circled back together.
Bill fought a courageous battle, and so did his forever soul mate Paula till the end. Paula, we’re very fond of you, love you and proud of your faith, love and perseverance - may God give you everlasting peace from this journey and watch over you.
We’re thankful Bill is not suffering anymore. His warm sense of humor, the “vice-like handshake”, bear hugs and straight-up conversations will be greatly missed as we all grew from those pep talks… Please know that we love the entire Meyer family, especially Sister Rhonda and ask God to take special care of her and Brother Bill. May God give you all the grace and peace in the days ahead. Love always – Jim and Lea Anne (Gandy) Beeson.

Paula, I am so sorry for your loss. I was very fortunate to have Bill and you as instructors in my period of stained glass production. He guided me in the right direction. I respected him as mentor, great person and contributor to society. He will be greatly missed.

Paula, I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing, my deepest sympathy to you and family. I was made aware of his health issue when I ran into him at Hy-Vee months ago, and as always with Bill his spirits were high as was his faith. We talked and reminisced for quite a while holding up shoppers as they tried to navigate around us. We were not discouraged but relented and moved to a more out of the way place because neither of us wanted to end our conversation. In the end, we parted with the thought of us all maybe getting together again for a night out at Ced-Rel. I am saddened with not following up with this.
I will always have fond memories of my experiences with Bill and you at the Gallery. From student to a graft person and eventually a fond friendship. Paula my heart goes out to you and prayers to you and family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Paula and her Family. Bill was a "One of a Kind Guy". He was always the first to help and always had that "Can Do" attitude. We have lost a True and Caring Friend.

Dad, my heart is breaking, but want you to know how very grateful I am for raising a great son. From the first day I met you, you and mom welcomed me into your family. When my dad passed away, you treated me like a daughter, and helped me through some rough times. You and my dad never got to take that walk to the Dairy Queen, but now you can. You will always be in my heart and someday I know we will see each other again. I love you dad!

Dear Paula,
I was visiting my father last week and heard at church that Bill had taken the journey to heaven. Bill was a good friend to our parents and I thank you for your wonderful friendship. He will be missed by many and I send prayers of comfort to you and your family.
