My memories of Don's love for us as children goes deeper than memory will allow, from playing with us in our yard, to helping me build a model plane, to shooting water powered rockets into the air with us, to sodding his lawn, to attending Iowa football games, to playing his trumpet every Christmas at our home surrounded by adoring family, and many more. Ann and I will always be thankful that Don was in our lives. Rest in peace!

Stevens Family, Great family memories when we were young kids growing up in a seemingly more innocent, simpler world. Camping trips in the mountains, homemade ice cream, endless playtimes in your bkyard with the big hill, huge playroom downstairs, wishing one day we could go to a Hawkeye football game like our parents, right?! I enjoyed working with Don very much here at AE (then IES Utilities/Iowa Electric). Don was always one of the "good guys" in our engineering work group. I thought of Don as a solid person to lean on in times when I needed help - quietly patient with my errors as a newbie to the group. Which was very much appreciated! Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
