May your soul rest in Eternal Peace.

He comforts us every time we have trouble so that when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us. 5 We share in the many sufferings of Christ. In the same way, much comfort comes to us through Christ. 6 If we have troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is so that we can comfort you. And this helps you patiently accept the same sufferings we have.

We are saddened at the word of Bob's passing. He was such a gentle soul and well loved by all. Our condolences go out to his grandchildren Miria and Marty, and to his beloved nephew David Bradford and family. We know how much Bob and Helen loved you all. Your families I'm sure gave Bob a reason to go on living. Bob and Helen always had such a beautiful home and so loved to entertain. It was always a joy to be with them! Bob was a good cook, as was Helen! We were with them every month until my husband Floyd Booth deceased. The group of four couples stayed close for about 30 years (the Gallagher's, Lackendar's, Thompson's and Booth's) after meeting at a Methodist Church Camp, and we met frequently, even going to NY to visit with them!
Love and prayers,

To all Bob's Family: Dick and I met Bob and Helen after they retired in Cedar Rapids. They joined First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids and that's where we met. Over the next few years we had a great time together. We traveled together on trips to Savannah and Florida, to Arizona and Colorado, to West Virginia and to many places in between. We were made to feel very welcome by all of Bob and Helen's relatives. Marty and Miria, you seemed like our grandchildren and we took pride in all your steps toward adulthood. Marjorie, we wish we would have had more time to get to know you. We do know that Bob and Helen loved you all dearly and that Bob was so happy to be living near you. Vonnie and Gordan, you were very special people in Bob and Helen's lives and we loved all our wonderful visits to see you. We know that you will all miss Bob terribly but hope that your wonderful memories will bring many smiles your way. We can imagine Bob smiling down on you and feeling such pride in his wonderful family as he munches away on his fried Bologna Sandwich.
