I offer my condolences to George, Corliss, and Cindy, and all of Gail's extended family. I am a Hospice volunteer who first met Gail this past week at Cottage Grove Place. She was obviously a remarkable lady with significant creative and artistic talents. This was apparent from both the mementos in her room and the photos on her website. I will keep Gail and her family in my prayers.

Dear George,et al,
How happy I am that we had dinner together just 3 weeks before her passing. It was such a good visit and a wonderful conclusion to my relationship, too short, with Gaile. That our families had gone back decades was a wonderful connection. Then, that we shared an involvement in the arts was the real cake, while the icing was our work with both of you on your homes. How we treasure those pieces from Gaile! Knowing that you all took such good care of her is cause for real consolation. You will find further solace in the rich memories her active and creative life have engendered. Good wishes and Godspeed to you all.

George and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Gail's passing. She was an inspiration to me. In addition to her amazing artistic creations, I was always impressed with the way she so generously shared her knowledge and experience with fellow artists. I am so grateful I was able to be on the receiving end of some of that graciousness. Blessings to you and your family,

To everyone who has so kindly offered condolences...
As hard as it has been to lose Mom, comments from those who have known her and her remarkable contributions are heartwarming. I hope that those who knew her will continue to share their stories.
She was always a fountain of ideas, creativity and endless stories that entertained us all.
And to those of you who so generously helped her during her brief time in Cedar Rapids, thank you. I hope that you will take the time to read some of the stories that others share about her in her glory.... she was an exciting person, worth knowing.
