Memorial
Alfred E. Hirschfeld, 93, of 401 26th Street NW, died at the Hiawatha Care Center, Monday, October 15, 2007, after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Jonathan Offt of Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the chapel after 12 p.m. Thursday. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Winifred; two sons, Robert Margaret Hirschfeld of Cedar Rapids and Donald Debra Hirschfeld of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Susan Donald Meek of Cape Coral, FL; three grandchildren, Robert and Brent Hirschfeld and Kathryn Marquis; and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Hirschfeld.
Alfred was born on October 28, 1913 in Wauwatosa, WI to Alfred and Mary Hirschfeld. He married Winifred Block on November 2, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI. He was Vice President of Administration at Cherry Burrell, retiring in 1984 after 43 years. Alfred was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Elks Club. He was an avid golfer.
