Dennis McDonald Ferry, 67, of 1727 Grande Ave SE, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Friday April 13, 2007. Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at New Covenant Bible Church by pastors Bob Westfall, James Wartian, Kim Pagel and Gary Hoobler. Visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home 4200 First Ave NE, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday after 12:00 p.m. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Karen, two daughters, Dennise R. Bridgman Alton of Davenport, Iowa, Holly C. Kennedy Tim of Merritt Island, Florida, three sons, James L. Ferry of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Eric J. Ferry Brenda of Meridian, Mississippi, and Jeremy D. Ferry Wai of Minneapolis, Minnesota, his siblings, John Ferry of Indiana, Shirley Hill of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Michael Ferry of Marion, Iowa, Terrance Ferry Gail of Vail, Colorado, James E. Ferry Elizabeth of Swisher, Timothy Ferry Annie of Solon, Iowa and Kevin Ferry Beth of Kingman, Arizona, Thomas Ferry Susan of Kingman, Arizona, Kelly Ferry of Idaho, and a sister in law, Carolyn Ferry- Graybeal of Idaho. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

His parents and a brother, Patrick Ferry preceded him in death.

Dennis was born on January 29, 1940 in Tama, the son of James and Onilee Ray Ferry. He married Karen Gray on August 16, 1969 in Cedar Rapids. Dennis was employed by Rockwell Collins for 39 years retiring in 1999 as a Technical Writer. He was a 31 year member of New Covenant Bible Church where he was a faithful servant of the good works that God called him to. He loved music. He sang with the Rockwell Collins Good Bye Boys and Rockwell Collins Chorus for 30 years and the Harmony Hawks.
